|
Aurore Gagnon, a French-Canadian girl living in turn-of-the-century Quebec, loses her mother to tuberculosis at a young age. A stepmother soon moves in and rules the family with an iron fist. The neighbors stay silent as they slowly witness increasingly strange events in the Gagnon household. The young Auror dies. The famous and hugely mediatised trial of her parents follows.
